Sure, you can ask for $100 an hour.
If you want to get paid the same as those girls, you need to find out what agency and hospital they were working for. But I doubt if you have all the facts. The most I've heard of for travelers in SF is $45 on certain jobs for Fastaff and those are rare. 30s is much more common. Some jobs pay OT after 8 on a 12 hour shift, but not for the entire shift. I think you will find when this is the case, the base rate will be lower, bringing the average or blended rate back into the 30s.

Ok, another question about San Fran jobs :)
I've been looking at the postings with a couple different companies who list their hourly rates with the assignment details. They are between $31-35/h, but the girls that have I spoken to at work who have gone out there were making $48-51/hour (1.5x OT rates for 12h shifts) PLUS free housing, and per diems of $100/h. There was also a listing for a permanent PT job at $50-65/h
So far I've just taken what I've been given on assignments out east, but on this one I'm gonna make the most of it.
I'm ER with 8 yrs experience, all my required certs (ACLS, TNCC, PALS, etc), Level 1 Trauma background and CEN. Is it unreasonable to ask for something closer to what I've been told about?
