Hi everyone! I've visited a particular thread with the list of requirements for application, however, I wish to know which hospitals are currently open to hire and absorb nurses.
i think there will still be a lot of interview batches. i dont think 50 participants is enough for a hospital with 150 bed capacity. they just cant conduct it on a single day.
also i am not even sure what the interview implies.. im still hoping that i passed the interview and have work..
yes 2 interviews. one after the other,.. also i talked to some of the participants that day. one is from "Malabon" very far from QC..
just wait guys for your interview schedule.. I think we feel the same anxiety of being really wanted this chance not to be wasted.. Lets hope for the best!
CHEERS!!
if its true that chmc has a 150 bed capacity, i think that they would only be needing less than a hundred nurses to be employed. i have worked from a hospital who has the same bed capacity as chmc. we are more than 50 nursing personnel (inclusive of staff nurses, seniors, supervisors and nurse managers).
lets do some math :)
a tertiary hospital is composed of 4 wards
(medical ward, surgery ward, pediatric ward, obstetric ward)
there are 3 staff nurse per shift, 1 reliever, 1 senior, 1 supervisor. this amounts to 24 nursing personnel to the usual wards.
it also has specialized area
(or-dr, er, nicu, icu, opd, dialysis unit, etc.)
they also have are 3 staff nurse per shift, 1 reliever, 1 senior, 1 supervisor. this amounts to roughly around 36 nursing personnel.
more or less 60 nurses are needed for a 150 bed capacity to operate.. i am sure it could not be more than 100.. :)
i am not saying that they won't be hiring more than that.. i just want to share given the experience to work in a similar hospital what i know of the usual number of nurses hired.
guys keep it up.. :)
@annz16 im on the 9am batch last saturday.. what bout you?
HR interview:
the questions are the usual HR thing.. 1. tell me something bout yourself. etc. etc..
nothing nursing related really.
the 2nd interview where the Chief nurse is present is more tight and of course more nsg base.. which area do you wanted to be part of? etc. etc..
i have a friend from the pm batch last Saturday that was even asked to compute for drops per minute because she said she wanted to be in the pedia ward. The chief nurse told her that being in that ward requires a very good calculating skill. thats why she was asked to solve a certain problem.
i cant say much on how would they base their hiring scheme. I'm currently affiliated in a hospital where a functional type of nursing is applied.
God Bless.
CHEERS!

Just dont get youre hope's up, it will be a lot easier if we are not called
My theories:
1. the interviews are only held every saturday
2. the pre employment examination started september
3. the said examination only has 9-10 examinees meaning for the whole month of september there are only 280-300 examinees
4. Hospitals usually need more than 200 nurses or more? i havent seen how big the actual hospital is, but i think its pretty huge
5. Maybe, Just maybe all the examinees failed or passed has a huge chance of getting hired, i mean if number 3 is indeed is correct, we may have a chance.
i might just psyching myself out,or im dead wrong, but coming up with such ideas may help releive our anxiety

what type of questions do they ask?
