I've been a hospice rn for 2 yrs. I have 2 jobs. My full time is only admissions and for part time, i do routine suppervisory visits and rcertifications of pts.
The thing with hospice is, I only like facility patients because dealing with anxious and difficult families caring for pts is not my cup of tea. For the routine visits i do, all of them are board and care pts, so i like it a lot. not much dealing with families.
For admissions, i also don't like having home pts. Especially those that come straight from the hospital going back home, as some families can be a real pain.
I would like to shift to another field of nursing that would hire someone w/o acute experience. Preferably not bedside. Any suggestions?

Sounds like you would be well suited to ambulatory care, LTC/SNF, or inpatient hospice care. Good luck.
