Hospice Nurse

Published

Hello:

I am looking to enter the world of Hospice and want it to ask where should I start. I have been a Home care Nurse for years. Thanks

Just keep applying I guess. I know they all requires some kind of hospice experience, but someone will give you a chance. You can also start volunteer with the one you like, so if there's an opening you will be the first one to know. Good luck.

Welcome...

You may find an agency that will allow you to "shadow" for a day. That shows interest and you get a feel for what an average day would be like. Expect you will need a background check (will need it anyway) and you will need to sign a HIPPA HIPPA hooray privacy agreement. Good luck!!

Peace

I would say to find a Hospice service that has a good reputation and apply. I have been with my Hospice company for almost a year and I LOVE it!!!! I was hired without any previous Hospice experience also. :) Good luck!!!
