Hi! I just want to tell everyone who had a 265 in the NCLEX that there is hope in passing that test. I also had the dreaded 265 and even had the last few questions to be EASY ones (for real!). For three dreaded weeks, I waited. I couldn't even remember a day I didn't cry while I waited. I was so sure I failed the exams because my last questions were really easy ones, but lo and behold, I checked our mail this morning and I passed. What did I do? Prayed. I just poured my heart out to God and prayed. I am very sure that He was the only reason I passed, not me. I prayed that I pass the exam, but I also prayed that if me passing the NCLEX was not His will yet, that God give me the strength and the hope to get up and move on. The wait is excruciating, but prayer really does help. Cable tv helps a lot too, hehehe. Just believe and God will make wonders.
Oh yeah, I used the Saunders book for my content review. Pharma review from that book is pretty okay in establishing a good background on meds. The practice questions from that book, however, were too easy for the NCLEX. Kaplan's question trainer is a very good training tool for the NCLEX. The level of difficulty of questions there are fairly similar to the real NCLEX questions...believe me!
And again, there was prayer. So just hang on, watch a lot of TV, believe, pray then have faith. There IS hope for the 265s...just keep on pressing on. God bless!
