Hope I am on the right track

Published

I am new here. Well I had this profile for a year and am just now posting. I am working on my pre-requisites to apply for the nursing program. I am currently taking my bio classes one at a time. I want those A's! I am taking Anatomy right now and doing much better than I expected. I don't want to jinx myself by saying that though.

I need to take physiology and micro after this. I also plan to take 1 more science that will earn me an AA in general studies for 5 pts towards that point system.

My plan is to take a TEAS workshop during the semester I take the last science course and prepare myself for the exam. I realize taking these classes one at a time will take me longer but I am in no rush and want to do this right.

Are there any tips that anyone here has or things I should expect to plan for that I don't seem to be aware of based on my plan? Thanks in advance!

Good Job!! You already realize that taking shortcuts is not the way to go. Nursing school is a marathon, not a sprint. Seems as though you have a wonderful attitude and a clear idea of your goal.

You've got this!!

You're doing it the smart way! That's exactly what I'm going to do is take all my Science prerequisites one at a time so I can focus on just that one class and do good in it. It will take me a lot longer which makes me anxious since I'm already old, but I want to get the best GPA possible.

Oh I feel the same way! I feel anxious... but I just keep thinking to myself these are classes I need to fully understand so that when I get to nursing school I dont get left behind.
