Whew, I live in the SE region of the country and I am looking to escape the hot, humid summers here!
I was in Philadelphia for the AAHPM/HPNA Annual Assembly and was taken by the snow, the public transportation, the arts, the music, the food, and the number of parks/greenspace in the city.
What does the home hospice employment situation look like there? I have worked in home hospice for 1 1/2 years. I have a BSN and passed the CHPN exam last fall.
Thanks for any input!

Most are going to BSN in this area(southeastern Pa).Lots of openings .But there are so many hospice agencies trying to stay afloat in the market that they are constantly expanding their territories into neighboring counties. It's crazy, they are loosing good staff because of this...I would not drive an hour and a half to see a client. And if I was a client I would not want to depend on an agency whose staff will take that long to get to me if I am in a crisis.

if you are trying to escape hot, humid summers...you need to keep going a lot further north than here in Philly lol! We average in the 90s with 90% humidity for most of summer!!
And the Brandywine Valley is notorious for the three H's ...but it is nothing compared to Florida.
