I am considering Home Health nursing. Does anybody have any information on what agencies to avoid and what agencies have good reputations in the Jacksonville area? Thanks!

You can get a feel for this by reading a lot of the posts and threads in the home health forum. But more important, you should talk to present employees of the hh agencies in your area for first hand experience. At any given point in time one agency office may be better or worse than another agency office in the same area. You have to decide to take your chances or go with the group. Three of the agencies that you will find a lot of negative posts about are: Maxim, Amedysis, and PSA. You should do your homework and stay away from these three if there are other choices available.

Thanks for your response. I've been stalking the Home Health board. I did see negative posts about these companies. I haven't seen any positive posts for any companies in Jacksonville. I guess I'll just have to go for it. I have to start somewhere.
