I graduated from school with my BSN and was having difficulty finding a hospital job because I had no prior experience working in a hospital setting. After a few months of rejection emails from hospitals, I accepted a job at a pediatric homecare agency. I just started and so far I like it. But I want to know what are my chances of getting hired at a hospital after I get some experience here if I choose to switch one day.
Will hospitals hire me even though my only experience is at a pediatric homecare? Will my pay be similar to those of a new grad?
Is there anyone who was able to switch from homecare to the hospital? Do you have any advice? I am from north jersey so I would love to hear from anyone from my area.
