Hi! I just moved to Colorado from California and have decided to give Home Health Nursing a shot. I have 5 years of nursing experience in a critical care unit but no home health experience. Since I come from California, I have absolutely NO idea what to expect in terms of salary. I was quoted $39/visit with no mileage compensation. Does that sound OK? ANY input would be helpful, since I need to make a decision soon. THANKS!!!!

Have considered moving from CA to CO but decided against it because I don't want to drive in winter conditions. People who have been there awhile don't empathize with ex-Californians when it comes to getting to and from work in winter weather. Another deterrent for me is the reported dismal job situation there. That rate sounds low for an RN, but good for an LPN.
