Hi! I was looking for a thread of students who may have also been accepted to HNU for their Summer BSN program? Can’t find a lot of info from other students so wanted to make a post and see if anyone got accepted / would want to connect!

I just saw on facebook that they are canceling their GBSN due to the loss of faculty.  I pray you two were not affected and if so they find you a suitable program. 

I was in the pre-nursing major and did One semester and did not like it at all. Professors were not organized and some were lazy with Canvas and did not stay in line with their syllabus. I left after that semester and finishing my last 2 pre-reqs and Contra Costa College. I won't have to do all the extra classes required by HNU that were not required for other nursing programs.

I am praying for you both.

This was actually my post. An absolute nightmare we are experiencing, but it sounds like I dodged a bullet. Hopefully they are able to place us in other programs, but there are making no promises.

I can see now. I bet it was. I believe you did as well. I am praying that they make good with you and your classmates. That is so not cool for a school. I wonder if they are going to lose their accreditation now. I would not be surprised. I had heard they were a good school until I actually attended.

I am going to apply to do the ASN in program at Contra Costa where I am finishing my last 2 pre-reqs and do the concurrent BSN with University of Phoenix while in the ASN.   I am also looking at the ICHS in Florida, they have the online hybrid and then clinicals in Florida. I have a co-worker in the program that work at the Hospital with me. A friend of mine recommended it to me awhile back but they had all the bad reviews which made me concerned but hearing from my co-worker, he said it just takes patience because they are always changing to stay in compliance with the state and Nursing accreditations.
