That is interesting. Do you know what the reasons would be that they'd move it? Has this happened in the past at Hofstra? I was told interviews were ongoing through November, don't lose hope!

Maybe not enough good candidate pool? Or candidates not meeting their reqs

Most probably, but I am not sure. Some schools change their deadlines/opening times every year, so maybe that's the reason? Additionally, many applicants do not fully meet the requirements. There's a school in Cali that had more than 500 apps, but the program director said half of them do not meet the minimum requirements.

I'm thinking you're right, I've heard that they open it up to ensure that more applicants have a chance to get things in to prove they're qualified to apply.

No 😕 they told me I'd hear back within two weeks at the latest. Did they give you a timeline?

They just said "a few weeks" 😞 sigh. I'm already moving on. Good luck to those who were invited for the phase 2!

Last year they did 3 different dates (months apart)  for phase 2 interviews. Not sure if that helps any.

Great point. I'd also consider since they moved the deadline to 11/1 that phase 2 interviews were likely pushed out as well. Everyone that's feeling discouraged, the admissions process is still ongoing, you're still in this!
