Hello Lorie,
I am a RN and work in Los Angles at a hospital in med surg and was interviewed and applied directly to the hospital but was sent to an outside agency where I signed a 2 year contract with Pioneer Staffing Services. Both my friend and I are trying to get out of the contract as we feel unsafe at this hospital and feel our licenses are at risk. Any advice would be greatly appreciated as we cannot pay the $15,000 fee. We have both preceptor multiple nurses and have already been at the hospital for one year.
Dear Outside Agency Hire
I recognize that you're in a difficult situation. The best I can provide is that you have the contract reviewed by an attorney to see if there is a way out. Many times, I will write a letter on behalf of my client asking the agency to allow them to cancel the contract without penalty. It is something for which you will have to hire an attorney for assistance.
Good luck with this
Lorie
