so many nurses and physicians are misusing hippa. they are choosing not to disclose things or discussing things regarding pt care, shouting: hippa violation!

i think it has to be modified bc it's interfering with pt care.

Yes, I am very sure it has been used as a crutch in some instances, tridil.

HIPAA has its place in healthcare. Everyone needs to utilize it correctly, however.
