Hello all,
I am a high school senior, wanting to be a nurse. My ultimate goal eventually is to be an FNP. I want to get my BSN through the US Navy ROTC at WSU. A Navy recruiter has told me that I need to wait to apply for the ROTC, now, since I missed the SAT deadline. can I still apply to the college of my choice with an nrotc program, or am I supposed to be accepted into the ROTC first? Any tips to going about all of this? Any and all comments/thoughts would be extremely helpful to me. Thanks!

You need to wait if you want ROTC to pay for school for all 4 years. But if you don't care about them paying for all of your school you can do the first year on your own and apply to the program while you are in college.
Thank you that's helpful for sure. I had a feeling that was going to be the answer. Maybe I am better off to wait to apply for college and the NROTC scholarship until I have my SAT score. It might take a semester longer to go to college, but at least all four years could get paid for. Thanks for your input!
