Anyone hear of high school dual credit? There are a handful of programs that offer lpn dual credit options for the high school student. Essentially, when they graduate (and turn 18), they can then sit for the boards exam. Anyone have any thoughts or opinions on this? Anyone complete this type of program?
The idea behind it is to help fulfill the rehab/nursing home/home health staff shortage that SOME/MANY RNs do not want to fill. Also, the student will get experience and have an opportunity to bridge to an RN or make decent money as an LPN with a career at a young age. Just presenting it, seeking opinions.

They had such a program where I went to LPN school back in the 70s, and there is one here in Indianapolis yet today. They don't graduate at 18. High school graduation marks the halfway point in the program- so they graduate in the spring following.
