how things work. Anyway, I am thinking of getting into a medical assistsnt or CNA program.I am undecided on what to do.So I am here seeking advice from all of you. To get started, i am from India where I was practised medicine as a doctor in alternative medicine for 6 years. I came to the US and then in 2009 graduated with a masters in business administration. But due to the bad economy, I ended up volunteering as a marketing coordinator. But I am not happy with what I am doing. My heart wants me to go back and serve and care for people, coz that is what I have done for along time. I am in my mid 30's, and I know that I want to be physician assistant in the future. I am just not sure where and how to start.

I live in Seattle WA and my research shows that it is a tough market everywhere. Please help me and guide me. Tell me what will be the next best step CNA or Medical assistant?

If you want to be a PA, then I would go back to school to get a bachelor's in some type of science program, which would be a requirement to get into a PA program. But if you want to get your feet wet in healthcare, a CNA program would probably be the fastest, least expensive route.
