HHHEELLLPPPP trying to enter Emory BSN/MSN Segue program trying to get help w/resume

U.S.A. Georgia

Greetings, Please anyone help me!!! I am in the process of applying to Emory's MSN/BSN segue program and I am stuck on the resume portion of the application process. It states to put three things which are employment history, publications of work, and activities and honors. My question is, what format do I follow? Does anyone have any suggestions as to where to look to see an example of what they are really seeking. I am feeling so overwhelmed with this and I am not sure to type it as a curriculum vitae or as a real resume and to only put what they state. I am also not sure if I should add or to just only put those three items and that is it. Please anyone with experience with this please help me. You can also feel free to email me at [email protected]:crying2::crying2::crying2::crying2:

i am applying with a regular resume. i dont have a CV. my resume covers employment, education, co-curricular activities, and honors and awards.

good luck. what specialty are you applying for?

Hi there. I'm a junior in the Segue program now and when I applied, I just wrote a regular resume. I didn't do a CV because I didn't (and still don't) have enough experience to put on a CV. I just had an objective statment, an employment section, a volunteer/related activities section, and an honors/awards/extracurricular section. I think they just want to know a little about your life experience, but I'm not sure about how much weight the resume carries in the overall admittance process.

Thank you so much for the help and the advice. I am trying to apply to the bsn/msn segue program but I am interested in emergency room nurse practitioner for the msn portion of it. I am thinking about leaving the education portion out as I gather they will see the education on paper via transcripts from the school i graduated from and from the other schools i attended in order to get the prereq's met. LaBrittany how has the program been? is it difficult? This is a huge career change for me and I am nervous about it as I have already invested so much into trying to get accepted. What would be your advice?

Hey all,

I know you posted this information a few years back but I am currently interested in Emory's SON Segue program. If you don't mind- can you provide me with some information on the program? If you like it, what's been most challenging so far, etc. I am nervous to apply I'm taking the MAT instead of the GRE- but I am not too sure if there is a preference. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.
