HH in CA....new job offer, thoughts?

Published

Specializes in Oncology, Palliative care.

I have been in the hospital for 8 years now.....I have begun to specialize in chemotherapy, palliative care. I got an offer from a big hospital in Sacramento for HH Advanced Illness Management............the offer is M-F 8-5pm, one Saturday on call every 6 weeks. Salary 98,000 a year plus .57cents a mile, productivity bonuses monthly from 200-1000 a month.

Thoughts?

If the workload is reasonable and the benefits are good, I would take it. $47/hr for M-F in an area that you're new to. (I'm in your region). Solid income with productivity bonus (I'd be all over that). It's one of the positions I will be considering when I relocate.

Specializes in Oncology, Palliative care.

the benefits are very good....and the case load is 15 for the first year and then 20 thereafter....

I don't know what the equivalent would be for regular HH but I manage an average of 20 patients.

That offer sounds great! I'm starting HH next month @ 78,000/ yr, productivity bonuses, .55/ miles, good bennies from what I can see, call sounds about the same although my call lasts a week! Once I'm up and running, I'll be managing 26 pts/week. Your offer sounds better😉 I'm on the east coast.

Best of luck to you! Let us know how you're doing.
