Typhanie,
Did you buy older editions from www.half.com or the current ones?
I checked the prices for a few of them (current editions) and they were either a little more expensive or just slightly less. I had planned on going to half.com originally.
I could see it being a lot less expensive if you bought an older edition. I wonder if that would matter much? It seems like content rarely changes much.
Try amazon.com too. Sometimes they have great deals. I got my lehne pharm book on there for 50 bucks (I think it's now gone back up to 55.17) and the bookstore was charging well over 80. I also got a great deal on the davis' drug guide and I always use the free super saver shipping....
Sometimes getting them there new on amazon costs less than bookstore used editions (I only like to do the same edition-- I personally have found it difficult to have older editions in the past. Sometimes chapters are moved around, info is added, and I just would rather spend the 15 extra bucks vs searching around and wasting time trying to find info in an older edition. You may not mind looking all over the book for the info though and could borrow a friends book to photocopy all the new added info if you need it. Personally I thought it was a waste of time and a pain in the butt).

All I did was copy the ISBN number that my college bookstore gave to me and pasted it in the search function on half.com. Whatever book came up I bought it. It worked for me, I didn't notice any difference when using it in class. Although I was using them for an online class as opposed to campus, not sure if that matters or not.

i went on hfcc's bookstore website today and only asked for the required books. it gave me a total of 10 books for nsg 120 and 126 = $487.35
i'm actually surprised that it doesn't cost more. for those who have been thru hfcc, do you think there are more books yet to come?
they had the nsg 120 module - 13.75
guide to code of ethics for nurses
davis drug guide
math for meds
fund. of nursing
nurses' handbook of health assessment
nursing diagnosis book
clinical companion to med-surg nursing
nurtrition essentials..
tabers encyclopedia.
if this is the grand total i want to go pick up my books, but if others are missing, i'd like to wait it out.
thank you.
