Help with this problem please. Older adult/ stroke. Weight is 245, total dose for rtPA is 90 mg. IVPB. of 250 mL NS containing 150 mg of rtPA. 150mg/250 mL will receive 150mL

To receive 10% of the dose bolus over 20mins what hourly rate will the pump be set? I’m lost

Think it out and figure out exactly what the question is asking.

the total amount to be infused (ml) is how many? 150ml

10% of the total volume will be infused over the first 20 minutes. 15ml

how many ml per hour would you set the pump at to infuse the bolus volume over 20 minutes?

15ml/20min * 60min/1hr = ml/hr
