HESI - Just Finished

Published

I just finished my HESI A2 today.

I scored:

[96] Mathematics

[92] Reading Comprehension

[84] Anatomy & Physiology

[890] Critical Thinking

[91.67] Cumulative Score

Math: it's no algebra and pretty much all High School level math. Know how to find percentages. Have an understanding of word problems. Be ready for a lot of fraction equations. Go over your decimals and conversions.

Reading Comp: it's tedious but if you've done reading comp before, you've done this one, too.

A&P: understand general concepts, where your bones are, what the joints are, meiosis & mitosis, know what ossification is, know the chemicals involved in muscle contraction, etc.

Critical Thinking: all the questions are, "if you're the nurse in this situation" which answer is best

If anyone has any questions, ask! I haven't seen very many recent posts about this. So, let me help you if you'd like.

Do you actually remember any vocabulary ? I've taken this test numerous times at different colleges and still can't even get past a 70%

All of the "vocabulary" were questions like:

*In the sentence, "... .... ..." what did the word "________" mean?"

So, there were not any vocabulary specific questions or sections, but in the Reading & Comprehension module you'll get questions like the one I exampled above.

Specializes in Medical and general practice now LTC.

Moved to the HESI forum

I'm new, so I didn't know how to do that.

Thank you!
