Hello Everyone,
I am going to be taking my first Hesi exam next month. I was wondering what advise anyone who has taken it could give me regarding this exam. What is it like? How should I study for it? Etc..............
Thanks,

I did questions from my Saunders NCLEX book and just tried to do some light review from my lecture notes from the previous year. Know patient safety and ADPIE. If you always keep in mind with every question what will keep your patient safe, it will keep you on the right track. At least that's how it was for me. I took my intermediate HESI in August. We needed an 850 to pass and I got an 1147 on it. Best of luck, you can do it!

Which HESI? In addition to the Exit HESI, almost all of our final exams are HESIs. They make a study guide, which I think helps a lot (in addition to Saunders).

My class will have finals and Hesi exams as well coming up in less than a month. This will be the first time I will be taking the Hesi. I think I will purchase that CD you recommended. Thanks a lot!
Just to clarify - it's a study guide that includes a CD.
Also, I really like the HESIs, at least for final exams (haven't taken the Exit HESI yet). They are standardized and scored against others who have taken it so you are scored based on how you perform compared to the whole. Also (at least for us) 5 out of the 55 questions don't count. So, even with getting 3 or 4 questions wrong you can still get a 99.99 on the exam.
