Has anyone applied to the Florida Atlantic University Christine E Lynn College of Nursing for the BSN or the Accelerated BSN program and had to take the HESI test to get in? Was physics included as one of the test subjects? I haven't been able to get an answer from the school.
HESI is an entrance exam for admission to FAU BSN program. My HESI guide says that all of the subjects may not be included on the exam for all programs; only the most appropriate ones. Is this true?
I ask because I've never studied physics, and will not study chemistry until after the exam is over.

No, physics is not included as one of the subjects.
Did you / do you go to FAU? Can you tell me anything else about the test? An administrator told me it's just reading comp, math, grammar, and some nursing vocabulary/general knowlege. I find that very vague... any specifics you can clear up for me? Thanks!
Yes, this is my first semester @ FAU, but three of my friends are nursing students from 2007 spring entry and they advised me about the test and the entry process, as well as the professors. If you know anyone who has/is in the traditional nursing program then maybe you could ask one of them for a more detailed description. Did you purchase the Hesi study guide? Whe are you planning on taking it? May be we could study together or something. I actually took all of my prereq's at a community college. Hope this helps and good luck!
Hey, so you already got accepted or are in the nursing program? If so congratulations. I am applying for the Accelerated BSN for May. I hear it is very competitive; 330 apply and 30 get in! I did get the guide, and I studied for it this weekend. I went thru the giude, and had to refresh my memory about some of the math and grammar stuff, but I don't think it is too hard, mostly basic stuff. I feel much more confident about it. I spoke to the coordinator and she said that it isn't too hard, and that the only thing some students complained about were some of the terms in the vocabulary, medical terms, that they couldn't figure out, and couldn't remember what they were to tell her.
