Hi, Everyone! I am a pre-nursing student in one of the univerties in New Mexico, and I am scheduled to take the HESI Exam this October 16, 2017. The subjects that I am required to take are Math, Reading Comprehension, Vocabulary, Grammar, Biology, Chemistry, A&P, Learning Style, and Personality Profile. I want to ask some tips and questions about the Exam: First, are you allowed to go back to the previous subject if you are planning to recheck it? What are the usual questions in the A&P section? Are all the Vocabulary words in the 4th edition HESI Admission Assessment Exam Review? I will add more questions in the comment below if anything else I wanna ask. Thank you in advance and I hope for your fast reponse 😊

Unfortunately, no the words were not all covered in the Evolve book, and you are not allowed to go back to a previous question or section. I did not take the A&P section, but I've heard others say that using the Pocket Prep app ($15) helped them a lot for that section.

Memorize the vocabulary in the HESI book but it will not be enough (go on quizlet and memorize too). The A&P questions can either be very broad or specific, do not study little and specific details, try to study broadly. Not only can you not go back to a previous subject, but you also cannot go back to a previous question. However, at my test, you could switch sections you wanted to do. For example, if you are on question 35 or something in Math, and you are stuck and want to come back to it later, you can switch to another section like Reading and then when you go back to Math, you'll be on question 35
Thank you for all the tips! *breathing heavily
I am really nervous right now and very anxious. I hope I won't forget what I am learning these past few days or mental block during the exam. Whew! Thank you again! And the switching feature might help me to think the other question without wasting my time.
Ahh... That is bad but I am expecting the worse scenario like the one you said that I won't be able to go back of the questions. Thank you for your tips!

Good Luck! Remember to breathe, eat something, and also use the restroom before your test!

Hey! I saw that you took your test yesterday? How did it go?
I didn't pass because I blame it for the lack of sleep. So a piece of advice: get some sleep the day before the exam.
