HESI Entrance Exam Lone Star College

Published

Hi everyone!

My name is vanessa and this is my 2nd time taking the hesi :(. The first time I took it at san jacinto college and i can honestly say that nothing that I studied or that was on the book was on the test it just went horrible. I am giving it another shot but this time at lone star since they dont require the biology section and also because i hear they have a good nursing program. Have any of you taken the HESI exam at lonestar is there anything you can give me that could be helpful? Please I would really appreciate it. I want to be able to get this HESI out of the way and apply to several schools to start nursing in the spring 2016.

Your thread has been moved to the HESI exam forum. Good luck to you!

Hi I took my hesi entrance exam and I failed it with a 73... A 75 is passing so I was pretty heartbroken... I purchased the book hesi admissions assesment exam review book edition 3 and studied it for about a week... I did all the practice questions and did practice questions online.. I took the test the second time last week and made a 95.. The book is amazing and I do recommend it for anyone trying to get in nursing school... The only thing is in the vocab section, some words were on the test that I seen in the book but not all.. So definitely make sure uou study the vocab section in the book and also use another resource... Good luck!

thank you so much yes i also have that review book but i took the hesi the first time in san jacinto college and let me tell you that nothing that was on the book was on the test i was very heartbroken as well because i spend weeks and hours revewing also memorized all vocab word and the everything else on the book and nothing was on there. This second round i will be taking it in lone star so wish me luck and if there is any other pointers you could help me out on i would really appreciate it very much. How was the A&P and grammar part? Was the a&P part basic stuff like on the book also the grammer did ask like whats the adjective, adverb etc? or was it like just read the question and see what word doesnt belong there kind of thing?
