Yes, there is a considerable difference between the case studies and the CD. I am also taking the HESI soon (Wednesday, to be exact!) and have been studying both. I think the case studies are great, because it givevs you the total picture and really gets you to think critically, as if you were in the actual situation. But the CD is helping me figure out what areas I need to study more, it gives you an actual breakdown of your strong and weak points. If I may suggest, use the CD and first do the cumulative test, get your printout, and go from there as far as studying. After I did the cumulative test on the CD, I used the topic specific CD exams and aslo the case studies specific to what I needed work on, making sure to go over all the rationales. Then I began re-taking the cumulative exams and doing Kaplan/Saunders, and my scores began going up. So, in a nutshell, yes, I think the CD and case-studies are both great, just in different ways.
Hello, I will have to past the Hesi Exit Exam in April in order to graduate and sit for Nclex-RN. I have access through my school to all of the Hesi case studies and was considering purchasing the study guide/CD through their website. Is there any difference in the CD vs. the case studies online? I don't want to spend the $ on the CD if there really isn't a big difference. Thanks in advance.
I don't know the difference between the website and the book, but I have the book with the CD that I"ve never opened to sell if you want it. Just passed my HESI today so I can get rid of it. Send me a PM if you're interested..
I used both the HESI and the NCLEX saunders CD.
