Hi,
I just found out the my college is going to use the HESI (not the NET) starting in the fall. So now I have to start studying from another book, they recommend "Testing and Remediation Admission Assessment Exam Review", 2nd Edition. Has anyone else used this book to review? Is it good, is it enough? EAC tests on Math, Reading, Vocabulary and General Knowledge, Grammar, A&P, and Chemistry. Please help. Any info is truly appreciated!

I used the official Hesi Admission Assessment study guide put out by Evolve and thought it was great for the math, vocab, reading, grammar, etc. I used it exclusively for teh sciences too and averaged a 90% on the total exam (we also had biology). I'd highly recommend it. The Hesi A2 is a lot easier than the NET - I thought the exam was a joke (pretty sure I learned all the non-science stuff by 5th grade). Don't worry :)
Thank you so much!

Get the Evolve Reach Admission Assessment review guide 2nd edition (not sure if that's the exact name). It has a blue and yellow cover. Some of the vocab in this review are the same words on the exam. It will prepare you completely for the math, reading, and english on the exam. The science is just "ok."

We had to take the A2 AFTER acceptance into the program, just to make sure that we were "where we were supposed to be". We didnt have to take the regular Bio or chemistry but the rest were SUPER easy. If you have taken A&P, Chem, Bio, junior high math (adding, subtracting fractions, know how many quarts are in a gallon and basic conversions) then the tests will be SUPER easy. I passed everything with out even studying! Basically, I wouldn't buy a book, when you probably won't need it.
Thank you all! Thank you so much!
Does anyone happen to know if there is a periodic table of elements available during the test?
.i didn't have one on either version i took (two schools) but i didn't miss it either.
so the questions are not as specific? did you memorize the atomic numbers, groups? what exactly did you focus on when you studied? the practice questions in the book I use for review are quite specific and I'm starting to freak out...any more info would be very helpful. Thank you!
No, I don't have any of the atomic numbers memorized. I would just have a general idea of where stuff is on the period table. Metals vs nonmetals kinda thing. Chemistry was the section I did the worst in but luckily everything else made up for it. I scored an 80% in chem and got above a 90% in all the other areas. I didn't use anything but the official Hesi guide.
Thank you!
