I took the Hesi exam and I found the Math portion a little easier than I thought it would be. I was just as nervous as you were to take the exam, but you will do great!! I took it back in Decmeber and I dont remember much about it, but what I do remember is that there are alot of conversions. For example how many liters in meters and stuff like that. I don't remember to many word problems though. I am sorry I don't remember more, but hope that helps!!
Thank you guys!! I hope to get an 100% as well. The nursing school I am applying for is only looking at the math and reading portion of the test. We have to take the rest of the sections as well but the requirement is just to get an 80% on both math and reading. I was just confused bc in my study guide the math portion is different from the practice test in the back. Did anyone study from the Evolve Assessment study guide?
The Evolve guide is all I used. I found it to be adequate. I didn't look too much at the study guide though. Just know the basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) of whole numbers, decimals, and fractions. Also know Roman Numerals and basic household conversions. The only reason I had to review was because I hadn't done math that simple since middle school!!
There is even a calculator you get to use when taking the math section. Frankly it is so easy that a 5th grader could pass the math section. Studying for the exam is a waste of time that would be better spent on learning other things, stuff you'll actually need to know as a nurse to keep people alive.

Hello!! I am set to take my Hesi A2 exam next week and I bought the Evolve Assessment book. There is a complete study guide for the Math portion and then there is also a practice test in the back. Can anyone tell me if the test is going to look more like the test in the back of the book? And are there many questions on conversions?
Like word problems on conversions?? thank you! I'm so nervous!!
