Hep C? end of the line?

Im an ER nurse and have had 5 years sorking as an RN. Im currently processing my visa for New Zealand and had to undergo some tests at the panel clinic for nz. Two weeks later, the clinic sent me a message thru text informing me i was reactive to anti hcv. I was really stunned! Weeks before, i did some tests for my vaccine and they all came out negative. Being over paranoid, i tested in 4 various hospitals in my city for anti hcv and it all came out negative and even saw 2 gastros and cleared me since my LFTs were super normal. However, i only got tested with qualitative.

I returned to the panel clinic and saw the official result for the anti hcv which was quantitative: 1.1 the cut off was 1.000000. I caused a bit of a problem at the panel clinic because they didnt even know what it all meant. The panel doctor referres me to another gastro. She advised me to have a confirmatory test which is HCV RNA. today, i just got tested but will have to wait for a few weeks for the result.

What do you think will my result be? I have never been needle pricked or had blood transfusion or surgery and im really dumb founded about this.

Can someone help me out? :)

Thanks so much for the positivity. Still waiting for the result for my HCV RNA. Im so stressed out with all of this and im expectung to fly to nz by the end of September. I hope i still have time for my visa.

Hurry up and wait but I think the GI physician experienced with liver disease who already tested you will be the best source.

I have presented my case to three GIs (paranoid) and they just advised me to do the HCV RNA. They told me that there are some cases that are positive eventhough the liver function tests are normal and the patient is asymptomatic.

Im trying my best in keeping my hopes up. :)

Doe anyone know if it would matter if i just had my vaccines for HEPA A AND HEPA B a few weeks earlier before i did my tests?
