My GP won't give me a blood test for Varicella which I need for uni and they won't give me hep B vaccines either. They refused private as well. The cheapest private is £150 for hep B and idk where to get varicella done.I contacted the uni and they said go private however if I really couldn't then occupational health would do it but this may mess up my placement as it is a 6 month course and I may not be allowed.I'm so stressed.

Yes I live in the UK and My GP said no but I will try phone my local hospital I doubt they will say yes tho ? and Occupational health can do it with the uni but then I'm at risk of missing placement because the hep B vaccine is a 6 month course
Usually once you start the course of Hep B you should be ok. I remember years ago when we all had to get the course we all carried on working and had titres at the end to check immunity. Quiet a few after course plus extra had no immunity and was allowed to work

Oh okay. They said to us OH could do it when we start but then we might miss placement if we're not immunised before it ?
Have a chat with the occupational nurse at the placement. They should be able to discuss this with you
