I have been looking for jobs since that time but all my efforts have been in vain.I tried with a HomeHealth Care Agency for a couple of weeks but the agency seems to have more LPNs than clients. As a result, I cannot pay my bills and debts. anyone knows any LTC facililty etc that can help? I am having sleepless nights!!!!!

Have you called/walked in to each of the places listed here:

There are pages of senior care centers in your area. Most of the time, if you go in and put in your application and ask to speak to the Director of Nursing, you can get hired pretty easily. Dress business casual. Make yourself a list of places to visit. Take a good pen/pencil and your work history info. Drop into each place and ask to complete an application for an LPN Position. It would also be helpful to have a well thought out resume' on hand. Ask to speak with the DON and give a firm, confident hand shake. Express your excitement at applying at that facility. I bet you find a job within a week!! Good luck!

Good advice from dconnors, that's how I got my first job, walking in a place recommended to me. They didn't even have a permanent spot for me, I was a floater, but still worked 32 hours a week. You can also call local nursing agencies and ask them where they send their people. My experience is if the facility is using agency LPNs, there are positions for employees available. Good luck!
