Help! What sneakers are best?

Published

I wear Sanita Leo Pro clogs. They are the best shoe I have ever worn on my feet. I have two black pair. Well, I have to wear white shoes for school, which starts in three weeks. Of course, Sanita does not make Leo Pro in white anymore. We can't wear Klogs, because we must have the back of our foot covered. Danskos are two norrow for my wide feet. I wear a wide 13 / 14. I tried on a pair of 622 New Balance sneakers. They felt ok, looked ok. My problem is, the last time I wore sneakers for long periods of time (I'm a hair stylist), my feet would be killing me. What do you guys think about New Balance sneaker? Help!:anbd:

I had a pair of 608s that lasted me two years. I like them until I got plantar fasciitis - then I had to switch to Shox & orthotics. :)

Besides the shoes have you thought of SUpport socks/hoses?? I have a pair of nurse mates with some insoles and my feet was killing me after day 3 of 12s. A classmate (ex midwife) wears support hoses and swears by them. I bought some and my feet feel great at the end of the shift...even after day 3.

Shoe wise the ones I keep hearing rave revies on is z-coil, and new balance. On the actual new balance website I noticed they had pretty wide variety of widths.

Let me know what you think please.

My doctor suggested support socks. I will diff get some. I tried on a wider pair of New Balance today (14 2EE) they felt great. Of course my feet look like Herman Monster's, but what can you do. LOL I just have to wear them for school. Hopefully, I'll find a pair of white nurse clogs that really fit my feet before it's all over. I hate that i have to tie my shoes now. Thanks for heads up about support socks. I foget all about them.

On the sneaker issue...I am having a similar problem. I am doing a clinical rotation this semester that is 12 hours long, with not much, if any, chance to sit other than my half hour lunch break. I had been wearing New Balance walking shoes previously for my clinicals, and they were okay for about 5 hours, but no more than that. I have found that I can wear my New Balance running shoes for ten hours or more at my retail job on a tile floor. My walking shoes are unbearable after about 6-7 hours, and I am currently searching for something else to wear. I love New Balance, and very rarely wear anything else. I first learned about New Balance when my sister went to work for them, and I have been hooked ever since, I just wish they made an all white running shoe!! Oh...and another heads up...if you buy New Balance, make sure you buy from a sporting goods store such as Dicks Sporting Goods, Finish Line, Foot Locker, etc. DO NOT buy from discount places like Kohls, TJ Maxx, or Burlington Coat Factory. The shoes look the same, but the technology is not the same in those shoes, and often they do not have the insoles that the better ones do. I would check their website and look up a retailer in your area...

I love sneakers, and i would suggest a cross trainer. They have the best support for your arch, and after a 2 hour day my feet done hurt at all. I wear saucony or new balance
