HELP! What are my chances--ABSN!

Published

Hi everyone!!

I'm currently a 4th year undergrad at UCLA, but I'm gona spend another year finishing up classes. My 3rd year was kinda rough cos I declared a major I didn't like and started dropping classes like every quarter. Finally, the beginning of this year, I got my act together, trying to bring up my GPA right now!

I have a 3.7 GPA, though overall it's been going down since my third year. I'm getting B's just cos my upper division science classes are obviously ALOT harder than my lower division ones. Mmm, I volunteered at the hospital alot my first and second year, tutored, then thought about Grad school, so I stopped volunteering, started doing HIV research, which brought me all the way to volunteer in Africa last summer, but then realized I wanna do nursing. This summer I plan volunteering hella at the hospital and hopefully get a letter of rec there!

What are my chances of getting into top ABSN programs? I honestly worked so hard at UCLA and I don't wanna settle for something else less than that... countless all nighters studying for exams lol! Any suggestions of what else I should do to boost my overall application and feedback would help alot. Thanks!!! :)

Along with all that debt your getting from UCLA, basically just look up pre-req's and take the entrance exam. With a 3.7 your basically a good candidate for where every you apply.

Hell take the GRE before you even start and you can go right into a masters program right afterward
