Help. Transferring Schools.

I attend Mohawk College in Hamilton, Ontario for the RPN program. I'd like to transfer out of there to any other school in the GTA, or Niagara. ANY SCHOOL! I've had such a horrible experience at Mohawk so this is necessary.

I've completed all required Nursing courses for semester one, & i've only completed semester two biology and theory. I havn't completed semester two clinical, if I stay at Mohawk, i'll have to complete that starting January. Then by April i'll be complete all semester 1 & 2 courses at Mohawk.

I'm willing to wait until April to transfer, and finish up semester two at Mohawk, then get into a school that offers the RPN program in the summer, specifically semester 3. George Brown, Sheridan, Cenntennial, Niagara College, Humber, any of those.

Does anyone have any information regarding the process, and if they've personally done it before. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.

Hi in the past I have transferred BScN programs. You need to contact the coordinator of the programs you are interested.

I personally met with the coordinator of the school I wanted to go to, brought in all my course outlines, and discussed the reason why I wanted to transfer. (For me it was the cost of living away, I moved back home to save $$)

Luckily, I only had to do one summer school course, and the rest was equivalent to proceed to the next year. It can be hard because some schools teach classes in different years, you don't want to repeat a year. Best of luck!
