I will be taking the ANCC adult NP exam this coming Saturday, August 9th, 2014. I'm looking for advice from anyone who has taken this exam recently....It's so overwhelming and I'm praying that I pass. Any advice, tips, etc would be greatly appreciated...thanks in advance

Not trying to discourage, but if you are taking the exam next saturday and seeking help now….not sure if it would do much good….? I am pretty sure you must have been studying for a while now… I could tell you are probably getting anxious…which is normal for almost everyone taking any exam or stuff like this….So, just calm down, take a deep breath and tell yourself you can do this. If you need to take few hours off, do so and refocus…yes, you can do IT! Goodluck….:)

Do you have the Barkley CDs? That guy is hilarious. It's a little late in the game for you but when I studied for the ACNP test I threw out all my review materials and just listened to his lectures over and over again. It worked.
Thanks ICURN7, yes, I've been studying for a while now...just very nervous!!!!
I've used APEA and fitzgerald as well as practice exams from exam edge...
Also purchased the review/resource manual from ANCC site

I'm sure you will do fine! I was the same way a nervous wreck. I just took the test on July 21 and had to keep reminding myself during the exam to calm down and take it easy. It was a long 4 hours but such a relief when I got my print out saying congratulations. I don't think anyone is totally confident and feels 100% prepared going into the test .just know it's doable .wish you the best of luck!

Hollylemo, how was the test? I took the test the day before you did.
