HELP

Published

hello everybody. I am a bit concerned about my situation. my current gpa is like 3.7 but in my science classes I do not feel like I cam out really learning anything at all. I went to a community so as you can see standards are lower and now I am afraid if I get into a program that I won't do well at all? Does anyone in a program know if they will RETEACH everything and really help those who forgot the material? thanks greatly appreciated

No program is going to really reteach everything to you. Of course multiple classes go over the body systems, functions ect but the best thing would probably be to get a few textbooks to help you learn if you haven't. That way you have a foundation to build on.

I'm flipping through my pathophysiology book, and I can tell you right now that I'll be hauling out the physio textbook I kept. It's a good review, but it's more to the point. If you kept your textbooks you may want to review those a bit. :)

thanks a lot for the help i really apprecaite it are you in a nursing program right now?

Yes I am. :) I was accepted for this Spring, and start classes on Thursday.

I know I'll have to review everything like crazy - it seems like forever ago that I took those classes!

Your GPA sounds great!

thanks a lot but i am applying to schools in CA like the cal states and since the budget cuts 3.7 isn't all that. Congrats its great to hear you got in good luck :]:jester::bugeyes::cheers::balloons::balloons::balloons::clpty::ancong!:

elacer, I'm attending SDSU - I was turned down for the Fall but made it in for the Spring.

I will share this... my cumulative GPA was less than yours. I think they weigh the pre-reqs heavier than the cumulative. If you're concerned about grades in the pre-reqs, do you have the option to retake one or two?

Thank you for your congratulations!

Well the only reason i did not apply there is because it states organic chemistry and I would not finish in time since I would have to take another 2 classes to get there. I thought all nursing took the combination one but apparently when I called the person in charge and looked through assist.org it states chem 211 so I was out of luck how is the program there?
