Have you gotten any feedback from the schools you intervied at as to why you were not accepted? If not, you should start there.
If you don't have your CCRN or other certifications, I would recommend getting certified. Might just be the one thing to put you ahead of another candidate.
You say the interview is so hard to get past...in what respect do you mean? Do you get extremely nervous or freeze up? Not being yourself? It will be easier to give you advice if you give us your background/interviewing experiences.

Where did you apply? have you applied to the same schools both times?
My interview experiences were 'strange'. I mean, no feed back at all. I was like well it wasn't a horrible experience, but I don't know that it was a GREAT interview. Just unremarkable at both places I interviewed at .
Some interviews seem to be heavy on clinical info, others more personality stuff, and I guess most a little bit of both. One of my interviews was in front of like 7 people, all at once. I felt it went "ok" and did not get accepted. The other interview was an all day thing with 5 individual one on one interviews. Each one a little different, non horrible, non terribly remarkable, had no idea how I did, and got accepted into that school. Go figure.
I know I was more at ease one on one, even though the prospect of FIVE separate interviews was a little nerve racking at first. At the time I also figured I hadn't gotten into the first school (didn't know for sure, but figured I didn') and since the second school has a really good reputation, I figured there was no chance they would want me if I wasn't good enough for the first school. So I basically went to the interview thinking that I didn't have a snowball's chance in you know where. I figured I could go and meet the people and at least know what I was up again for next year. I think it helped me not be so nervous. And ironically, I got in.
Anything specific you have problems with that you know of? If you feel comfortable sharing here, or PM, maybe we (us board people) can be of more help. I personally hate interviews. Why can't they just spend a day with you and get to know you like a real person? that's what I say! Call the programs and see if they will give you feed back on what they liked/didn't like about how you interviewed. It can't hurt.
