ANA-PAC Hits the Ground Running for 2004 with New Campaign
In less than one year, the nation will cast votes in the November 2004 general election. With all eyes turned toward the dynamic political season ahead, ANA-PAC is excited to announce its new "$20.04 for 2004" fundraising campaign. ANA-PAC kicked off the campaign at the ANA Constituent Assembly, where it initially raised more than $3,500.
The $20.04 for 2004 campaign is part of a concerted effort to raise $825,000 this election cycle, with the goal of returning as a million-dollar PAC by 2006. These funds will be used to support federal office candidates who support ANA's nursing agenda. As part of this initiative, the ANA-PAC Board of Trustees is asking every member of ANA to contribute to ANA-PAC with a $20.04 donation.
Imagine the impact if every member of ANA gave $20.04 - ANA-PAC would raise $3 million, more money than the American Hospital Association, and it would be the second largest professional healthcare PAC in the country!
A $3 million PAC would not only give ANA enormous clout on Capitol Hill and with federal policymakers, but it also would give ANA-PAC the ability to fund the largest pool of federal candidates in ANA-PAC history.
This is why we need you and members of your CMA to help communicate the importance of the $20.04 for 2004 campaign to all of your members. ANA-PAC Board CMA liaisons are currently contacting states about this new campaign. CMA Presidents and Executive Directors have received information packets about the campaign.
