Help!Should I go to nursing?

Published

Hi, Everyone,

I am a new member. For sure, this is my first post.

I just got the accept letter from a community college near my home. And I was told there were more than 1000 students applied for the 120 seats. I know I am lucky.

BUT I don't know if I should go or not. Here is something about my family.

1, I have a one-year-old son who need to be taken care.

2, My hubby makes around $125k per year. So I don't need to worry too much about the income. But I still want to make more.

3, Right now, it really hard to image myself to clean up messes or work under stress.

4, I also got some other offers, like master program in Accounting, master program in pharmacy economics. But I think it's easier for nurses to land a job and take care of family.

Would do you think of my consideration? I really really need your suggestion.

Thank you so much!

As the above post has stated, I really think you have to reconsider. I do not feel your heart is in nursing. Maybe I am wrong, but that is what I am getting from reading your statements. Like my instructor said last semester, first reason to become a nurse must be about caring for people, not just to find employment.

I agree. I think you should let someone who really wants to be a nurse have your spot. Later if you still want to be a nurse then go for it. Sounds like you got into some other good "non-messy" programs that pay the same if not more. Accounting is a pretty secure profession. Good Luck in whatever decision you make.

I think you should look into that accounting or pharmacy thing.
