Help Sacramento, CA nursing programs and schools

Nurses General Nursing

Hello everyone! I recently graduated high school and I am currently struggling on deciding where to take my next step in my nursing career. I am currently attending a cna program at Curam College of Nursing. I would like to further my education and become an lvn and possibly in the future a RN. I have looked into Sacramento State and ARC as options but I am struggling with the fact that their programs are so impacted! Sac State and ARC are both on a lottery system which means that students are chosen at random. I have read on here that some nursing students have had to wait up to four years to be chosen for the ARC program. A nursing student from Sac State also informed me that out of the 400 applications only 80 are chosen to take the nursing program she was taking. The school I am currently attending does offer an lvn program. But I know many private schools do not transfer over to community colleges or CSU's. Some private nursing schools also do not offer financial aid including the one I am attending now. I would very much appreciate any information (or experience) anyone has on local nursing programs in Sacramento or their experience at Sac State, ARC, or Sac City College. Cost of education would be appreciated as well.
