Help...questions about Vanderbilt ASN to MSN

Published

Hello everyone!! So I am currently in an associate degree nursing program in California and I am wanting to move to Nashville after this program is over to finish my education (I graduate May 2018). I am looking at Vanderbilt's ASN to MSN program, and wanted to know if anyone had any advice about it. I have never seen an MSN program straight from an ASN degree, so I'm not sure if I'm missing a piece of the puzzle. Any and all advice would be GREATLY appreciated!!! (Experiences with the school or that specific program. What the admissions are like. Is it extremely difficult to get accepted into? Is the program worth it instead of a BSN since I plan to get my DNP either way after that? This program compared to other similar programs. What this programs entails exactly, since I have never seen an ASN to MSN program before-it seems too good to be true). My ultimate goal is to get my DNP, so if you guys have any advice about that track as well (coming from Vanderbilt's MSN program, or any BSN program) I would appreciate that so much! I will be heading to Tennessee in the end of May/ early June this year and plan to meet with a counselor while I am there, but I would like to hear feedback from previous students, any students in the program now, or anyone who has any knowledge/experience with this!

Thank you all in advance!!
