Today i had a patient who came into the hospital with prostate hypertrophy with obstruction. He also had some bladder calculi and history of reucurrent uti's, HTN, CAD,R Pyelonephritis. He had a transurethral resection of the prostate on 9/25 prior to my care on 9/28. CBI was discontinued bc urine was getting lighter yellow/pink and the foley was taken out today. He had his first void which was 350cc of light pink/yellow urine and the doctor put in the orders for discharge.
My question is what would be the priority nursing diagnoses for this patient who is going home post turp.
