Hi everyone!

So I am going to University at Albany with an eop right now and I'll be a freshman. But they don't have a nursing program so I was thinking of doing one semester in uni at Albany and then transferring to a nursing program in a really good nursing school? My parents have a a low income so that's why I want to go to Uni at Albany first so that I can get eop even when I transfer. Also what major would be best to do right now for me? Should I just go as undecided?

Thankyou in advance. :)

Most nursing programs, be they at community colleges or four year schools, require that you complete certain prerequisite courses before you apply to the nursing program itself. Check out the requirements on the nursing school links at the nearest colleges and compare. Cost-wise, it is probably best to take the prerequisite courses at your nearest community college. Then you can apply to the nursing programs that are available nearby or that interest you the most.
