HI there! I am an RN currently licensed in OHIO. I am looking for some advice on the endorsement process in Michigan. I have downloaded the application from the Michigan Board of Nursing. Here are my questions if anyone can help: 1) There are two options - do I want Registered nurse licensure by endorsement or the Provisional temp? ( I am planning on moving to MI early October2) Will I remain licensed in Ohio- does Michigan give me a Michigan license number or how does that work?Any information or advice anyone could offere would be greatly appreciated... I feel just totally lost and alone and afraid that I miss mess something up on the application.

It is best to choose License by endorsement. You will get a Michigan license number and you keep your Ohio License number. Yes you can be licensed in both states. You will have to keep both licenses up to date every 2 years as always and do your CEU's Michigan has a mandatory pain management 1 hour, and Ohio has a 1 hour course that is mandatory too along with your other hours. If you have more questions please feel free to e mail. It is really a painless process. Just follow the instructions on the applications. Good Luck, Ruthie
