Hi. I am currently working on my prereqs and hopefully, I'll be able to transfer by 2015. I am required to take stats which I registered for this coming spring. I am absolutely interested in doing survey of calculus after taking stats (they call it life science calc since it is intended for bio majors). Will it work for me if I take the survey of calculus course?

Stats will not prepare you for calc. I've taken both courses. For calc, you need a strong background in algebra & trig. Most nursing programs do not require you to take calculus, even Masters programs typically only require stats.
Your academic advisor should be able to let you know what is specifically required before taking calc at your school.
