Help! Learning... Vit B injections.

Hi all. I have a question. I am learning. It says in my Mosby's Nursing Drug Reference Guide to give a Vit. B12 shot Subcut/IM. I AM CONFUSED. :banghead: Subcut is one way and IM is another, right?? So what does Subcut/IM mean??

Thank you! Epona

YEAH COOKIE! I got it!! Yahoo! :rotfl:

One other thing I saw that I tried to locate and could not.. when it talks about effecting body systems... I know what GI means and CV, etc. What about INTEG and META?? Not familiar with that.

THANK YOU COOKIE! That helped me a lot!! :yelclap:

Is there a key in the drug book that gives what those mean? I'm thinking integumentary and metabolic.

Good question RN007. Before I posted my question, I looked and did not see any. I tried to pull those words up on-line under medical terminology to no avail. I'll keep looking. You are probably right though. :studyowl:

THANK YOU!! Epona

i agree---integumentary and metabolic is the only one i can come up with for META
