Hi Everyone..
I will be attending Laguardia in the fall 07 semester. I want to know about their LPN and Nursing Program. I need one class for the LPN and 2 classes for the LPN since I'm coming in as a transfer student. I am beyond scared because I don't know if I have a shot. And ZI also feel too old to be be doing this. (I'm 23). My GPA is around 3.5 and I made it my duty to pick professors that are easy to pass in the classes I will be taking. I want to know anything and everything about Laguardia Nursing Program.
Thank You in Advance.

Nursing school is not easy. It requires committment and time management, your iwll not get by on taking classes with the "easy" professors. If you were ill or in need of a nurse would u want one who took the "easy professors" or one who truly loved or cared about what being a nurse.
23 is not too old to be in school. You will find people here who are much older than that. I always say that age is just a number. Anything that is new is going to be scary. I say give it your best shot. Apply, you wont know if u are going to get in unless you apply. Noone here can tell u u are going to get in.
Good luck. DK
I'm not talking about taking easy NUR classes. I'm talking about social science classes. I understand that people lives will be in my hands. The reason I'm looking for easy teachers because I know from experience teachers who don't care how good you do in their class and fail you just because the don't like you personally. I don't want to get a low grade and jack up my chances of being considered. I just need to get into the program. Passing classes is nothing for me ( i once took 7 classes at one time and didn't get anything lower then a B+).

For LaGuardia students who are taking NCLEX, paying Pearson Vue for the NCLEX test and taking a prep course and are interested in finding a funding source to help pay for these LPN educational expenses, maybe interested in what Southern New York Association (SNYA) has to offer. Check out their website at www.snya.org
