Hello All,
I would be very grateful if anyone can provide me genuine advise.
I am a qualified Nurse from Italy. I moved to London, UK a month ago.
I wish to continue my career as a Nurse here but English language is my biggest problem.
I speak little English but it is difficult for me to read and write in English.
I have some questions please:
1) How realistic is this to me to learn English and work as a Nurse in future? How long could it take for a beginner like me to learn English and get a job?
2) Can anyone guide me on NMC registration? Are there any agencies that can do this job for me?
3) Can you help me finding a good English college or support group?
4) Please help me as I am in a real difficult time. I am confused and frustrated and I cannot make up my mind, as this is question about my future.
If anyone can help me, I would be much obliged please.
Do you or anyone you know have been in similar situation like mine?
Awaiting for your response...
Thank you for your time.
Your Faithfully,
Cristian

Contact the local colleges and see if they offer any English language classes for foreign nationals
Speaking good English as well as writing clear English is a must when working in the Health community and I see it is getting strict for health professionals being required to prove English proficiency due to medical errors that have occurred and some of them serious.
No need for an agency to help with NMC I am sure when I looked things was clearly documented on requirements and what you have to do
