Hello, so recently I just accepted my first nursing interview with Mayo hospital, and I am thrilled, however, super nervous as well. I was wondering if anyone could please give me some advice on the types of questions I can expect and just any advice in general!! I'm not the most talkative person, so I could really use all the tips I can get! Thanks!

Hi Red Diamond!
Have you had that interview yet? If not, then remember to not over exaggerate your answers. First few questions would be about you - where you came from and that kind of stuff. Next would probably be about the company and position you are applying for and why you chose nursing. You'd also be asked about your plans and aspirations like how do u see yourself years from now and your expectations from the company. Your strengths and weaknesses might also be included. It's going to be a variety of questions related to what you do and a bit about your plans. You don't want to bombard them with too much information so make sure you answer concisely and direct to the point. Stay calm but if you can't, just remember the reason why you want this job.
Hope you will ace that interview and keep us posted!

Before my first interview I did a google search for typical interview questions. I agree with Klara, about the types of questions they're likely to ask. They may also ask about where you see yourself in 5 years.
I would review these questions and think about your answers ahead of time, like studying for a test. The more familiar you are with the content the more confident you'll feel about your answers.
Speak clearly and loudly, make eye contact and sit up straight. Even if you feel like your insides are full of butterflies, act like you're cool as a cucumber. You worked hard to get where you are, own it!
Good luck!
Thanks, you guys, you have some really good advice! My interview is on Thursday and I'm pretty nervous but I've been researching questions and practicing.
